This short course will support you prepare for completing the KS3 and GCSE Subject Knowledge Certificate programme, which will lead to you achieving a national certificate in computer science subject knowledge. By attending this course, you’ll gain support from an experienced Professional Development Leader, who will be able to support you with difficult topics, revise key concepts, answer any questions about subject knowledge, guide you to useful resources and discuss practice questions, ahead of completing the KS3 and GCSE Subject Knowledge Certificate test.

Who is it for?

This short course is suitable for you once you’ve completed at least two KS3 and GCSE Subject Knowledge Certificate courses. You may find this course useful if you need support ahead of taking the test, alternatively, you may wish to book onto further KS3 and GCSE Subject Knowledge Certificate courses, found on our courses page.

Topics covered

Preparing to take the KS3 and GCSE Subject Knowledge Certificate test, revision session – this session will support you with the final steps to taking the test, you’ll be guided by an experienced Professional Development Leader and have the opportunity to discuss subject knowledge topics, explore resources, answer practice questions and discuss any questions you may have.

How long is this course?

This course includes one session, running for a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Outcomes

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • identify subject knowledge areas of the GCSE curriculum that you need further support with
  • gain support from an experienced Professional Development Leader, ask questions and develop your subject knowledge around self-identified topics
