CO442 Online course
Explore the role of generative AI and its applications within the Key Stage 3 Teach Computing Curriculum. You'll learn about the fundamentals of AI and investigate various platforms to support your teaching.
Skip to course bookingDuring this course you will learn how to use generative AI safely and innovatively within the KS3 computing curriculum. Generative AI can now be used to create a wide range of media assets, you'll explore various platforms which can be used to generate text, image and sound assets. Guided by your Professional Development Leader, you'll discuss and identify opportunities of how generative AI can be embedded within the Key Stage 3 Teach Computing Curriculum.
Who is it for?
This course is aimed at Key Stage 3 teachers, in particular those delivering content as part of the Teach Computing Curriculum, which you'll access during this course, it’s highly recommended you create a free account prior to the course.
Topics covered
01. Generative AI and media creation - during this section you'll learn what generative AI is and how it can be used to create media assets such as images and sound. You'll explore multiple free to access platforms.
02. Programming and safe application of generative AI - this session will explore how generative AI tools can be used to support text based programming, before exploring how you can promote safe use of the tools.
