Our primary focused panel is led by Sway Grantham, Senior Learning Manager at the Raspberry Pi Foundation.

Primary subject practitioners (KS1/2)

Claire Rawlinson
Claire is a specialist Computing teacher in a three-form entry primary academy in Blackpool. With a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science, and a previous career as a Senior Software Engineer, she particularly enjoys delivering engaging and challenging Computer Programming lessons, mainly using Scratch or the micro:bit. She believes that regular programming lessons can develop independent, resilient learners – skills that can be used across all areas of learning.
Donna Rawling
Donna is a CAS Master Teacher, Raspberry Pi Certified Educator, BCS cert, Barefoot Ambassador, CREATE 3D Ambassador, Code Club Leader and a Primary school Computing teacher. She is passionate about the learning of Computing through a range of physical computing experiences - and STEM/STEAM focus.
Georgia Mercier
Georgia is a primary school teacher and Computing and Online safety expert within a large Multi Academy Trust in the South West of England. She is passionate about raising the profile of Computing and Online Safety in schools. Georgia also leads the CAS Primary Computing Community, providing support to subject leads in the local area and encouraging collaboration across schools in the community.
Janet Ross
Janet is a KS2 Primary Teacher in Somerset. She has worked as Computing Lead Teacher for 15 years. During that time she has worked closely with Somerset eLIM team writing, piloting and reviewing sections of their New Wessex Planning. She is a CAS Master Teacher and a NCCE Facilitator.
Jen McCulloch
Jen is a primary school teacher and computing curriculum consultant. She has recently worked with the Raspberry Pi Foundation on the Teach Computing Curriculum and Gender Balance projects. Jen delivers training for the National Centre for Computing Education and runs a local CAS community of practice.
Nic Hughes
Nic is a self confessed IT geek. He is a class teacher, Head of Computing at Latymer Prep School, a Primary CAS Master Teacher, a CAS community leader, a Raspberry Pi Certified Educator, a Google Certified Trainer and works part-time as an educational consultant for Strictly Education 3BM. He is a massive fan of robotics and physical computing and is eager for more teachers to try it out in class.
Lucy Duff
Lucy is passionate about technology in the classroom. She believes in supporting both children and teachers to embed Computing in a cross curricular manner and has been a computing lead for over 5 years. Lucy currently leads over two schools within her role as SLE.
Matt Wimpenny-Smith
Matt is Leader of Digital Strategy at Headington Prep School in Oxford and a Fellow of Chartered College of Teaching and the Primary Schools Leader for his local Hub and sits on the BCS School Curriculum and Assessment Committee. He is passionate about developing teaching computing science in primary schools.
