Develop your understanding of data logging and find out how to teach it in Key Stage 4 using a Sense Hat on a Raspberry Pi.

This workshop is aimed at Key Stage 4 teachers and will introduce them to the following:

  • The benefits of teaching physical computing at Key Stage 4 and links to pedagogy

  • Getting started with the Raspberry Pi

  • Using a Sense Hat with a Raspberry Pi

  • Data logging using a Sense Hat on a Raspberry Pi

Any Key Stage 4 teacher who is interested in learning more about physical computing and how it can help them to teach data logging

How long is the course?

This course is a two hour twilight session from 4-6pm.

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Explain what physical computing is and how it helps to students to learn about computing concepts at Key Stage 4
  • Connect a Sense Hat with a Raspberry Pi and use it for data logging
