Online support for teachers and home learning

During this time of great uncertainty, we are working hard to develop and share a range of online materials to support you. We are focusing on the challenge that many educators now face of teaching their pupils whilst schools and colleges are closed and learning is happening remotely.

All of the support we offer is free to access, so it can be used by teachers and shared with families - please pass it on.

Resources to help you deliver remote teaching

You can access our fantastic online resource repository at any time. We have lesson plans, unplugged activities, and schemes of work that can be used to teach pupils, from primary up to GCSE level.

Free resources for home learning and continuing in-school delivery are also available on the STEM Learning website, with new content added every week.

A level Computer Science teachers can use our free online learning platform Isaac Computer Science to save time looking for quality material and questions to set your students. There's even an opportunity for students to get their hands on free Raspberry Pi 4 kits as part of our Student Rewards Programme.

Online learning for you

Our extensive range of free online training courses are still running and can support you to develop your subject knowledge in computing at all key stages. They also count towards our Primary Computing and GCSE Computer Science certificates.

Community support

Our local Computing Hubs can still be contacted for support and local expertise. Find out more about support available in your local area.

CAS Communities of Practice are still taking place and you can join in the conversation at virtual Community Meetings through the CAS Forum.

We will be updating our website on an ongoing basis and sending out regular updates. Register for our newsletter or follow us on Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn.

You can also keep up-to-date with the computing world by listening to our podcast, where experts, teachers, and educators come together to discuss computing education. Over the coming months, our podcast will explore the range of tools and pedagogies that support remote learning.

We’d love to keep hearing from you and to share best practice with the whole community; if you want to get in touch, email us at [email protected].
